Using Console Compressor

Use Console Compressor to steady vocals, control bass or shape instrument groups. Its gain-reduction history helps relate compression to the performance as it changes.

A starting point

Set threshold and ratio for the amount of control, then adjust attack and release for the envelope. Route another track to the external sidechain when you want the compressor to respond to that signal.
