Why I build
Lydtrold.
I build the plugins I want in my own sessions: direct, musical tools for recording, mixing and low-latency Pro Tools workflows.
The beginning
Built by listening.
I have been a musician for more than 35 years and worked with live and studio sound for over 25. Modern studios have excellent preamps, but I missed the EQ, compression and effects I relied on in the analogue world—particularly when tracking through AAX DSP.
Each plugin begins with a sound or a tool I miss in a real session. The goal is always the same: open it, make a decision and keep the music moving.
The Lydtrold way
Listen first.
No nonsense.
Useful ranges, direct interfaces, original DSP and a workflow that respects the session. The screen is never the point; a control earns its place by what it does for the sound.
