Use The 4K to make a group of instruments move together. On drums or a stereo mix, small changes to attack and release can alter how much transient energy comes through.

A starting point

Choose ratio and attack, then compare manual and Auto release. Adjust the sidechain high-pass filter to change bass influence on the detector and use Mix for parallel compression.
